Adultery for adults

Sir: We Catholics await another humorous article from Mr Peregrine Worsthorne, not this time about a hypothetical controversy in the Church (in which the liberals are fair game for ridicule) but about an issue which actually took place, namely the Galileo affair. His article will be in the style of the recent encyclical pointing out how wide and easy a road would thus be opened up towards a general lowering of morality in allowing the modern notion that the earth revolves around the sun and empha- sising how His Holiness is simply protecting the natural law and the law of God by restating that the earth is the centre of the universe.
