Starvation or Satiety In general, I feel that, if at
Christmas-time the B.B.C. did not give us Christmas programmes, we should feel a little starved ; which robs us of the right to complain that we feel a little satiated. The only request I should have to make is that when next week the B.B.C. mobilises its comedians and favourite performers for its Christmas parties in the studio, it should try to make the fun public. These happy meetings of the broadcasting fraternity have tended in the past to turn into private frolics, to which we listeners were rather exasperated eavesdroppers. LIONEL HALE.
