AN INJUSTICE TO M. FLOQUET.

[TO THE EDITOR OF THE " SPECTATOR."]

Stn,—I observe that in your article entitled " The Fall of M. Floquet," you adopt Mr. Blowitz's story, related in the Times, that on the night of the Seine election, after the declaration of the poll, M. Floquet proposed at a Cabinet meeting to arrest and expel General Boulanger.

I beg to assure you that there is no truth in this story. M. Floquet made no such proposal. I give this contradiction on the authority of a Cabinet Minister who was present at the meeting.—I am, Sir, &c.,
