Vendetta

Sir: I am glad that someone has at last expressed his views on The Spectator's 'editorial vendetta' with the Prime Minister. Mr Bell (Letters, February 16) is not the only one who thinks something has gone wrong with your presentation. I am another Spectator reader who feels that your editorial attacks on the Prime Minister are unjustified and beyond 'stimulating objective criticism.' I, unlike Mr Bell, do not have a subscription to The Spectator and am thus in an easier position to stop buying it. I don't want to, as I find it amusing, sensible and always aware of current situations.

However, 1 hope that when Mr Heath is re-elected your editorials will be more constructive than destructive. Michael Parker Pike House, Gong Hill, Farnham, Surrey
