MR. J. H. COPE AND THE BERKSHIRE VICTORIA HISTORY

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—I see in your paper a review of the recent Berkshire Victoria History you give the name of Rev. P. H. Ditchfield as Editor. My husband, John Hautenville Cope (youngest son of the late Sir William Henry Cope, twelfth Baronet of Bramshill Park, Hampshire) was also Editor, in proof whereof are the handsome sets of volumes both of Hampshire and Berkshire presented to him in recognition of his work. Mr. Cope has, in conjunction with Rev. P. H. Ditchfield, for some fourteen years been working Editor to the Berks Arctaeological Journal. He was for twelve years Editor of the Hants Field Club, and now, in addition to the Berks Archaeological, he is Editor to the Powysland Club.—I am, Sir, &e., Finchaznpstead Place, Berks. E. E. Corr,.
