Have politics and politicians ceased to be funny ? The
" Punch " Summer Number (Is.) makes no mention of either one or the other. We miss those bold political cartoons which enlivened and stimulated Mr. Punch's War-time public. But we are grateful for the drawing of the " Conscientious Member of the Anti-Litter League " sitting with his wife on the beach, bewailing the ash-tray which was left at home. Mr. Ernest Shepard's drawings of " Picture Captions that Went Wrong " are also extremely humorous, and the adver- tisement pages seem to be as lively and decorative as ever.
