SIR,—Mr. R. C. B. Gardner says that the Herefordshire Domesday
does not appear to have been " translated." A transcription of it, how- ever, was published last year by the Pipe Roll Society. There is no mention of yew trees in the entry relating to Cusop, or Cheweshope, as it is spelt in the record.—Yours faithfully, T. LLOYD-WILLIAMS.
