The Honourable W. 0. Stanley, M.P., met with a serious
accident at Holyhead, on Tuesday. Going down Sumnierhill, the horses of his carriage became restive, and broke the pole ; they then grew ungovernable, and bolted at a mad speed : the carriage was dashed against the gable corner of the Old Billiard Room at the foot of the hill, and broken to pieces. One of the horses was killed on the spot ; Mr. Stanley was severely wounded ; and Lady Sarah H. Williams, with another lady, riding together inside, were much hurt.
