SIR,—In the notice of my book "Up in the North" which you were good enough to insert in your impression of the 10th inst., you lay stress on the fact that "the opportunity, for this year has past" for visiting Sweden. Will you permit me to point out that September is the best month for shooting (if not for fishing) in Sweden, the season for shooting most birds worth killing commencing onithe 15th August ?—I am, Sir, &c., TIIOMMI STUMP.
