Last night's Gazette announces the promotion of several naval and

military officers serving in India and China. Among the rest, Major George Alexander Malcolm, of the Third Light Dragoons, is to be Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army, and Commander Charles Richards, Captain in the Navy.
