d The Farmers' Vote SIR,—I wonder if Mr. Alan Watkins
is right in think- y ing that farmers are Conservatives 'almost to a man.' Of the half-dozen farmers whom I count among my friends in this neighbourhood, one voted Labour at the last general election and another voted Liberal. This was of course unwise of them; but they did it. Myself, I should guess that the proportion was much the same elsewhere.
