Spectator Competition No. 8

Set by Richard Usborne

The theory is that there are three stanzas missing between the sixth and seventh of Gray's "Elegy in a Country Churchyard." A prize of £5, which may be divided, is offered for supplying these.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, London, W.C.I, in envelopes marked "Competition," and must be received not later than March 3rd. Results will be published in the Spectator of March 10th.
