I suggest to him that he makes a practice of scanning the correspondence columns of any daily paper favoured by the Left (e.g., Daily Herald, Daily Mirror, News Chronicle). He will then find, whenever the question arises of the professional woman's difficulties, an impressive and depressing weight of evidence that I am neither lying nor even, as a more mannerly correspondent might have put it, mistaken.
