The trial of Arthur Alfred Lynch, M.P.-elect for Galway, on
the charge of high treason, began on Wednesday before the Lord Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Wills, and Mr. Justice Channell, and ended just as we go to press in the prisoner being found guilty, and sentenced to death. We therefore withhold all comment both on the trial and sentence till next week, but we have dealt with certain general aspects of treason in another column.
