A lady bishop

Sir: In your admirable and encouraging article (Worth holding the Fort', 10 June) you bestow upon Barbara Harris, the controversial American bishopess, the title 'Dr'.

Is this because she made the taking of curative medicine at Forth Worth the patients' crusade? Certainly I had not heard that this unlettered lady had ever been a witch doctor.
