PROFIT TAKING.
In other directions of the Stock Exchange the tendency has been of an irregular character, and a good deal of much- needed liquidation has taken place. In some of the scrips of the new issues, and especially in some of the shilling varieties, the sales have been considerable and prices have given way, while• not the least striking feature has been the fall in some of the Artificial Silk shares, and notably in British Celanese. Only a few weeks ago these shares were over £3,
whereas during the past week they fell to about 33s. -
