Reading, is chiefly to exercise the young reader upon pauses, and to introduce them to the practice of modulation and inflection of voice. The arrangement is good ; the examples seem well chosen ; and the basis of the whole system—to follow nature, and make the child read an exercise as he would tell it, only with a little method—is excellent.
