SIR,—Those of us whose husbands are " self-employed " must sympathise with "A Minister's Wife" in the matter of the compulsory payment of 6s. 2d. a week for health insurance. Surely the churches should bear at least some part of this burden—directly or indirectly ? But apparently this minister's wife does not realise that in the case of her one-day-a-week domestic helper she should pay less—not more—insurance now. It took me some to find out that (a) A married woman is covered by her husband's insurance. (b) Unless a woman works for her for more than eight hours a week, the only insurance an employer is liable for is 3d. a week accident insurance.
