Peasant Bents. By Richard Jones. 1831. (Macmillan and Co.)— This
is the reprint of part of a treatise which appeared more than sixty years ago under the title of an "Essay on the Distribution of Wealth and the Sources of Taxation." It is one of a series of ' Economic Classics," which already includes selections from the works of Adam Smith, Malthus, Ricardo, and Thomas Mun. There is no subject on which, under present conditions, the voice of what may be called a disinterested past is more likely to bo welcome than agricultural rent.
