The Catalogue of the Dublin Municipal Gallery of Modern Art.
(Dollard, Dublin. ls.)—From this well-illustrated catalogue it is passible to form an idea of the really wonderful collection recently acquired by the Dublin municipality. There is nothing like it in England as regards nineteenth-century French art. Among the great painters represented are Menet, Corot, Monti- celli, Rousseau, C,ourbet, Puvis de Chavannes, Monet, and Renoir. In sculpture, Rodin is to be seen, among other works, in his splendid "Age of Bronze." The British school has also a well- chosen selection of good pictures. Certainly the Honorary Director, Mr. Lane, has achieved a great work in bringing together so remarkable a collection, some of the most important pictures to be found in it having, moreover, been either given or lent by him. In future a pilgrimage to Dublin will become the object of lovers of painting.
