[Alan Watkins writes: 'This is what comes of being deliberately provocative. I am flattered to have inspired such an impressive demonstration of loyalty to our Prime Minister. But I doubt whether the demonstration would have been quite so impressive prior to his Commonwealth initiative, which was made after my piece was written. Certainly I know that at least two of the above--Mr. Colin Jackson and Mr. William Hamilton—were deeply disturbed about Government policy in Vietnam, and said so. In the case of Mr. Jackson, he said so to the Prime Minister and I have not the faintest idea what Mr. S. 0. Davies's name is doing on the list.'--Editor. Spectator.]
