Marching Song

We cannot decide whether to advise the students to accept Mr. Hotta, Sukarno's Vice-President, states the commander of the troops on guard outside Sukarno's palace.

We are Sukarno's army,

The boys that keep things quiet We're too astute To shout or shoot.

We let them gently riot.

We bid disgruntled students Refer to Mister Hatta, And, if they don't Or can't or won't, It doesn't really matter.

We are Sukarno's army.

(Or should it be Nasution's)?

For, turn about,

One's in, one's out—

A perfect revolution.
