Damaging campaign
From Ken Livingstone Sir: I was surprised to find with my copy of The Spectator (11 October) that a leaflet was enclosed from the Campaign for an English Parliament. The Campaign for an English Parliament is the organisation that vandalised the fountains in Trafalgar Square by filling them with red dye, thus causing damage to the fabric of the fountains and a cost to the taxpayer for clearing up the aftereffects of this activity.
The leaflet claims that the campaign wants to achieve 'fair political representation for the people of England'. I fail to see how vandalising one of England's most famous landmarks can be consistent with this aim.
