Sir: Michael Jones (Letters, 18 September) says the allegation that the draft of Lady Thatcher's memoirs was sent back by the Sunday Times to be livened up is 'complete- ly, and in every respect, untrue'. I suppose I must accept such a tautologous assurance, but it merely confirms why we no longer read the Sunday Times: sloppy thinking = sloppy writing = sloppy newspaper.
