The Kings of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark met at Malmo
on Friday week. At the close of the Conference on Saturday evening an official communiqug was issued. It stated that King Gustaf of Sweden, who had taken the initiative in
inviting the other Kings, in opening the Conference pointed out that, in view of their unanimous desire for the maintenance of neutrality, limited co-operation between the Kingdoms of the North would be desirable for the safeguarding of their common interests. These views were cordially supported by Kings Haakon and Christian. The communique added that the deliberations between the Sovereigns and their Ministers for Foreign Affairs had not only still further consolidated the good relations already existing between the three Northern Kingdoms, but had also promoted the settlement of special questions raised by one side or the other. More important is the decision to arrange for further meetings to discuss co-operative action whenever circumstances demanded.
