up his volume of four lessons in recitation, some new extracts for reading, sketches of readers, and various miscel- laneous articles bearing on the topic of elocution. Of the lessons we would say that their only fault is that possibly they are too elaborate. If a beginner—and we presume that Mr. Drew's pupils will be beginners—were to attempt to carry out these in- structions, he might very likely make a sensation that would scarcely be a success.
