TENNIS BALLS [To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.]
Sin,—In many homes all over the country them must be tennis balls which are not quite good enough for play on the courts. May. I -suggest to, your readers that they should send, such balls to places like Toynbee Hall, or some society in their own district which helps to brighten the lives of children in the poorer parts of our cities, and towns ? An enormous amount of pleasure is given to youngsters and many a crowded•play- ground or backyard is 4..happier place when there are tennis balls for the children's, games. Balls which are still in good condition are , very. ,much needed for girls' and. lads' clubs.—
