Poms escape
Sir: Howard Zelling (Letters, 12 May) confirms that only one per cent of South Australians is capable of much more than watching grass grow. It is of course nice to know that it was only 'the English colonists with capital to invest' (probably only they could afford the guns and ammunition) who 'set about removing all aborigines' and then decently went home, leaving the Australians to do what they know best looking after the abos properly. And watching the grass grow. As there isn't going to be a Day of Judgment the bloody Poms are off the hook again.
