The Lord Bishop of Peterborough will hold an Ordination on Sim:lay, 1st January. The Lord Bishop of Oxford has restored the otlice of Rural Dean in his Diocese, and has commissioned the following beneficed Clergymen in the Diocese to act as such in their respective Deaneries:- For the Deanery of Oxford, the Rev. J. H. Newman, Vicar of St. Mary's, Oxford; Deanery of Cuddesdon, the Rev. J. Baker, rector of Nuneham Courtenny; Dean- ery of witney, the Rev. T. Lewes, Vicar of Taintoa ; Deanery of Woodstock, the Rev. W. Gorden, Vicar of Dtznstew ; Deanery ef Chipping Norton, the Rev. C. Barter, Rector of Sarsden ; Deanery of Deddington, the Rev. C. Dayman, Vicar of Great Tew ; Deanery of Bicester, the Rev. H. it. Roarndell.Rector of Fringford ; Deanery of Henley, the Rev W. A. Hammond, Rector of Whitt:buret' ; Deanery Of Aston, the Rev. E. Burton. D.P. Rector of Eweime. The Rev. J. Hughes, B.A. late of Brasennose College, Oxford, has been collated, by the Lord Bishop of Hereford, to the Rectory of Cuddington, Herefordshire, vacant by the death of the Rev. J. P. Huck in. The King has been pleased to present the Rev. J. Morton to the Prebend of Leighton Bosard, alias Leighton Beaudesert, in the Cathedral Church of Lincoln ; also to the Vicarage of Holbeche, atlas ILiaeach, in the County and Diocese of Lincoln, void by the promotion of Dr. Edward Maltby to the See of Chichester. The Earl of Burlington has appointed the Rev. G.M. Cooper. M.A. late Fellow of St- John's College, Cambridge, to be one of his Lordship's Domestic Chaplains. PREFESMENTS.-The Rev. R.
