What pots?
Sir: You write (Notebook, I October) that Sir Ernest Debenham, the department store magnate, bequeathed his collection of Korean and Chinese ceramics to the Victoria and Albert Museum. As far as I am able to determine, this is not so. Sir Ernest appears to have been known principally as a collector of Chinese and Indian paintings and of Islamic pottery. Three examples of the latter came to the Museum in 1952. J. V. Earle
