MR. PETER COTES i N our issue dated March 4, 1960,
we published s review by Alan Brien of a play entitled Girl on the Highway in which comments were made concerning the conduct of Mr.
Peter
Cotes, the producer, who was instrumental in having the text of the play altered so that as finally performed there were certain fundamental differences in the play as originally written by the author.

We were, however, inaccurate in attributing to Mr. Cotcs the deletion of certain specific scenes, characters and dialogue which, though . present in the play as written for television, had already been expunged before the work was sub' mitted to him for stage production; and out comment proceeding from this might have been interpreted as casting a slur upon Mr. Cotes integrity and reputation as a producer. We should like to take this opportunity of expressing our sincere regret for the distress caused to him for this. Mr. Brien wishes to as elate himself wholeheartedly with this apni°0
