On Thursday the new CJampanile of St. Mark at Venice

was inaugurated by the Cardinal Patriarch amidst scenes of the most moving description. The history of the building was told in an interesting article by Mr. Horatio Brown in Thursday's Times. It was on July 14th, 1902, that the Cant- panile fell, and now at last, after ten years, it is replaced. All lovers of Venice will rejoice that her bereavement is now at an end.
