Sir: Presumably some of your readers are entertained by the blend of self-advertising alcoholism with puerile racial abuse which fills Jeffrey Bernard's Low life column. But one cannot help wondering whether You would have published his crude opening insult (13 August, 'There's something about Islam that stinks') if it had been made about any other faith.
