The Golden Treasury. Illustrated by R. Anning Bell. (J. M.
Dent and Co. 10s. 6d. net.)-These illustrations might almost be called improvisations on the themes of the poems, for they are slight water-colour drawings. All the same, many of them have real charm, especially those which are vague and romantic in spirit, as, for instance, the drawing of the nymphs in the "twilight groves" of "Ii Penseroso." In very many places we find evidence of that sense of beauty which this artist possesses.
