A Glossary of _Mediaeval Welsh Law. By Timothy Lewis. (Manchester
University Press. 15s. net.)—This valuable work is founded on the Black Book of Chirk, which is shortly to be edited by Dr. J. G. Evans, but the words and phrases explained are also illustrated by copious examples from general mediaeval Welsh literature, and even from the Welsh language of to-day. A comprehensive glossary was much wanted, and Mr. Lewis's careful work should be widely appreciated by sthdenta.
