PROSPECTS FOR THE FLAT Sus,—For the record may I correct
one or two minor errors of fact in an otherwise fascinating article 'Classic Prospects for the Flat' in your issue of March 13?
The correct figures, with those given by your article in brackets, are: the total prize money for this year's Derby will probably exceed 150,000 (.(50,000), towards which the Levy Board are con- tributing £40,000 (00,000). The Coronation Cup at Epsom on June 4 will be worth some £17,000 (130,000), including •£11,000 from the Levy Board. Finally. there is a notable omission from the article in that there is no mention of the Oaks to be run
at Epsom on June 5, the value of which will be in the order of 132,000, including £15,000 from the Levy Board.
