has abolished Christ and all that pal- pable rubbish as 'rationally' and as effectively as the scientists of the French revolution abolished God and all that superstition.

What a pity! Of course, some cleaning up was needed in both' cases, but many people feel that it is a mistake to 'throw the baby away with the bath-water'.
