Sir: This country's position today is not dissimilar to those years when we Were fighting a more sensational, a more physical, war, but with the same ultimate objective of retaining a way of life that we believed In and, for the most part, believe in still. 1 v,'as therefore saddened to read reports in the press that Mr Raymond Leppard was pr°; posing to go and live in the US because 01 the onset of socialism in this countrY. have never met Mr Leppard, but I enjoY h.'s music and so far as I can judge from radl° and TV he has a pleasing and attractive personality. Do you think for one moment, Mr Leppard, that the Marxists are not rejoicing at your impending departure? Do Y01.1 suppose they are saying one to another.
