We have to notice a very interesting volume, which contains
the Transactions and Proceedings of the First Annual Meeting of the Library Association of the United Kingdom. (Chiswick Press.)—We have here seine very interesting and valuable papers, among which we may Specially note that by the Rev. Herbert Reynolds, on "Our Cathedral Libraries ;" and that by Mr. Ernest Thomas, on "The Libraries of Oxford, and the Use of College Libraries." Mr. Axon .discusses in an interesting paper whether "A Printed Catalogue of the British Museum" is practicable, and makes an aft3,-”ative answer, which ha a •a .sufficiently reasonable appearance. Many useful techni- cal suggestions aro also made from various quarters. Every library that .aims at being useful should possess itself of this volume.
