MALTED BARLEY.
[To THE EDITOR OF THE " SPECTATOR."] SIR,—I have been much interested in the diecussion in your columns regarding the possibility of using malted barley other- wise than for brewing beer. Any competent chemist will correct me if I am wrong, but surely ground malt is the chief basis of most baby and invalid foods.
