Sir: I can understand Nicolas Walter's disMay (Letters, 21 April) that his distinguished father, for so long a pillar of
Monism, should have been led by his ljesearch into acceptance of the paranormal.
But the implication of his last sentence that the mystical element in Grey Walter's c°1 roPosition 'increased dramatically after

'rain damage in a road accident which ended his career' — is unworthy, as I am sure others who met him, as I did, in that Period will confirm.
