Gordon's fat tax

From Peter Frisken Sir: I am amazed that in his article 'Fear of paedophilia makes you fat So does food' (21 February), Rod Liddle should have fallen so wide of the mark. As any government-watcher realises, the forthcoming White Paper has nothing to do with Tony Blair or John Reid but is entirely the invention of Gordon Brown. As one of its proposals is almost certain to be the imposition of a 'fat tax', it presents the umnissable opportunity for yet another stealth tax and is totally unrelated to health.
