Spineless Tories

From Councillor Glenys Roberts Sir How I agree with Simon Heifer (Not nasty enough', 21 February). Tory supporters embrace successive leaders with renewed hope, only for each one seemingly to bend over backwards to be nicer to the government, prefacing most policy statements with 'I agree with my opposite number.' Meanwhile, a completely unaccountable regime dismantles everything decent and effective in the country. What will put some backbone into the Opposition?
