The July number of History, the well-edited quarterly journal of

the Historical Association (Macmillan and Co., la. net), contains an admirable letter from Mr. Fisher, the Minister of Education, emphasizing the high importance oT history in the school curriculum, and pointing out that "it is only to -the diffusion of a sound know- ledge of modern European history through the community that, we can look for an improvement in the judgments which we pass upon the complicated course of international affairs."
