Counterblast from the clergy

LETTERS

From Sir Thomas Scrivenor, Mrs Yvonne C. R. Brock, Malcolm Rees, Pavel Tomalik, Richard West, Geoffrey May, F. A. Bown, Mrs R. Hopkyn, Peter Stein, John Buchan- an-Brown, G. K. Fry.

Sir: Even a minor devil should be given his due, and Mr Ludovic Kennedy has at least provoked some of our spiritual pastors and masters to controvert his observations (21 June) in terms which, if employed by all of them in their pulpits of a Sunday, would make it impossible for anyone, even Mr Kennedy, to complain of the Church's failure to communicate.

T. V. Scrivenor Farnham House, Farnham Royal, Bucks.
