THE CURSE OF SCOTLAND.

[To THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR '1 Sra,—With reference to letter on "The Curse of Scotland" by me in yesterday's Spectator, allow me to mention that my name is not William George "Beach," as printed in Spectator, but as under.—I am, Sir, &c, WILLIAM GEORGE BLACK. New Club, Glasgow, March 22nd.

[There was no fault on the part of the printers. We hal referred to Mr. Black's original letter, and should say that tht name signed was much more like " Beach " than "Black." We wish our correspondents would take pains to be legible, especially with their proper names.—En. Spectator.]
