The Atlantic Transport Company is making an interesting experiment by
adapting its 17,000-ton ship, the Mirinekanda,' as a thiM-elass tourist ship, or as we should prefer to call it, a single-class ship. She is to run between London and New York, and the fare will be £20, or ns return. - We believe that the extravagant first-class fares that have prevailed in Atlantic liners have in the past helped to subsidize the " steerage " traffic. They have certainly frightened many people who objected to travel except first-Class, so long as first-class accommodation was there.
