Cross at Upton, Chester, standing at a corner of cross roads on the approach to the village, is the inscription:— " Their memory hallowed in the land they loved."
Also, on the stone tablet on the inside north wall of the church, underneath the same names, are the following lines of Laurence Binyon " They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We shall remember them."
