of his years as Sir Winston Churchill's doctor: Mr Ran- dolph Churchill denounced the publication, so did the Lancet, and the Establishment frowned disapprovingly. More pirate radio ships were on their way, too, it seemed, and the Postmaster-General made his usual firm speech threatening action, but some other time. New York had a newspaper strike, which interfered with the smooth merger of several of its leading journals; while in London the Daily Worker died and was at once replaced by the Morning Star.
