Set by Janus • A prize of f.5, which may be divided, will be awarded to the author of the best version of a new National Anthem, one verse only, the existing metre being retained.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, London, W.C.1, in envelopes marked " Competition," and must be received not later than March 12th. Results will be published in the Spectator on March •21st.
